Our greatest shortcoming: obsessive desire for certainty, compulsive appetite for the sure thing.

Some will panic in the search; a few get utterly lost in trying to fix the “game.”

Yet life is no play-thing to manipulate. The conviction that any person can cheat whatever aspect of life is the definition of delusion.

All cross the finish line; none cheat death or chance.

If we would adventure, we must needs exchange the knowns for the uncanny.

Indeed we may fail. Nevertheless, such a failure is living BY decision rather than a success via the complacent routes of established certainties or ensured fixes.

Such complacency is the failure OF decision.
