Lose Weight « Give me 5 minutes a day and I’ll give you a happier, more successful life!


As someone who always struggled with weight issues, I find this a very helpful overview of getting the head into a space that the body will not only follow but enjoy being there.

I suppose we all agree that in order to lose weight we need to eat less and exercise. That seems pretty simple, so why is it so difficult to lose weight? For me, I find there are five keys to losing weight, the five D’s:

  • Desire-first I have to really want to lose weight
  • Don’t doubt (believe you can do it)
  • Dream about it, visualize it
  • Discipline-I have to be willing to eat less and exercise
  • Determined-I have to be persistent and keep dieting even though I occasionally give in to temptation and eat too much.

  1. I do not think the problem is weight, but the food. I find it interesting that people go on a diet, but still buy their food from the same source. If supermarket food causes all kinds of disease, then why keep eating it? Eating less poison is not going to help detox.
    As long as the factory food is void of nutrients, the body is going to crave real food. The body is more determined to get fed than the mind can be of losing weight. Feed the body real food fom the organic stores or farmer’s market, and you can eat all you need. All of a sudden you will get a ‘full’ signal again. The body cannot give a ‘full’ signal when it is not getting fed properly. And the body will not have to waste energy trying to digest non-food. Energy that will be available for excercise.
