Thanks to my old friend from High School, Tonya Swallow Bazan, for originally pointing out this post. We all suffer, but some of us are suffering physically & psychologically in ways that cannot be apparent even to our closest friends.

Many prominent bloggers were asked to participate in this simple blog post meme to help spread awareness during Invisible Awareness Week (September 11-18th) I think it is important to participate in these things because as much as this website, my speaking and writing have brought me into the public eye, there is still so much even my closest friends and family do not know. That unfortunately is the “nature of the beast” with chronic invisible illness.

Exellent post – especially for those working in the service industries who deal with people day in and day out. While some of our interactions with others may be less than pleasant, we should always keep in the back of our minds that there may be a valid reason for it. Thanks for sharing!
