A pool party in McKinney, Texas, on Friday, June 05, ended with police terrorizing kids in the Dallas suburb.
A police officer with the City of McKinney–Eric Casebolt–has come under special scrutiny and been placed on administrative leave after a video surfaced showing him pull a gun on a crowd of teens at a pool party while physically detaining and then slamming to the ground a 14-year-old girl. The video shows the young lady becoming ever more terrorized as she realizes the officer is brandishing a weapon. The girl was later released without charge.
Brandon Brooks, the 15-year-old who shot the YouTube video, told BuzzFeed News many students were on guest passes to attend the end-of-school celebration at the pool while a few had jumped over the fence.
“I think a bunch of white parents were angry that a bunch of black kids who don’t live in the neighborhood were in the pool,” said Brooks, who is white.
Grace Stone, a white 14-year-old, relates that things heated up when she and her friends objected to the racist comments about public housing coming from an adult woman. The older white woman then became violent toward the younger one.
19-year-old Tatiana corroborates this info. In fact, Tatiana and her mother were the organizers of the pool party.
Tatiana related to interviewer E. Johnson how a white woman approached some of the attendees with hostile language during the cookout. “This lady was saying racial slurs to some friends that came to the cook out…she was saying things such as ‘You black *****’ and ‘That’s why you live in Section 8 homes.'”
