Everyone has
their own version of this
our youth
passing like pages
bending and
flipping off a thumb
rapid
yet so much story
unfolded and
here we are
looking back and
forward
I think damn
so many stories
no progress
other than gained
wisdom
this is where
it might be
different for you
but for me
it’s tragic
like a pocket
full of condoms and
the inability
to get an erection
Everyone has
their own version of this
looking back
on the few gems found
hiding in the pile of
ashes and all passion
snuffed out
like a used-up lonely
cigarette butt
in an astray among
the many others
just like me
this is where it might
differ for you and
some of you claim to
have no regrets
however we all must face
the truth and
accept the shortcomings
failure or gain

by decisions
