The enduring meaning of a process is the intuitive impulse to create.
This is mirrored in the instinctual drives toward procreation and tool making.
You can trace back any produced thing to its original. But the original is the expression of ceaseless becoming, of enduring creativity.
Seen only as the drive for survival (reproduction) or the will to power (production), creativity reduces to collecting and manipulating discrete changes. This preference to confine intuitive becoming to mere productiveness clutches for the certainty of linear progress over the uncertainty of transformative evolution.
It is the seduction of beings by the desire for security (the knowable) rather than the freedom of becoming through the risk of love (the unknown).
There is no explanation to the Origin; there is discovery from Creativity.
